stella mccartney x gap.

This is one of the best collaborations I’ve seen for kids clothing. Stella McCartney’s line for kids premiered at GapKids and babyGap yesterday, November 2nd. The mini Michael Jackson/Balmain inspired jackets are must-haves.

SPAZZ.27.

I’m a junior! Yikes. This year is definitely the year of threes. Thank God for longevity. 3rd year of college and I’m feeling great. Been at both jobs going into my third year, so I guess I’m doin alright, lol. School has started and my classes are interesting to say the least. I’m missing NYC like crazy and my uncle. Interning there was the best experience I could have asked for. The staff there was definitely the most humble group of people I’ve met in a while. The magazine industry is shaky, but I think it might be for me. Going between majors and minors has my mind in a tiffy, but I’ll be fine. I can never stress how much following MY dreams, is important to me. I don’t want to be that person 20 years from now that wishes she took a different road less traveled. I love my life. Once you find happiness in something you love, it’s hard to settle for less. My summer and fall have been polar opposites. Different people and environments. My mom always says that living all these random places will help me in the long run, and I can already see that they are. There’s not a day that goes by when I don’t think about what my life would have been like if it weren’t for Hurricane Katrina. It’s crazy how one hurricane can shake things up. I never had plans of leaving New Orleans, ever. I had my life mapped out. I was going to attend Dillard University and major in Communications then work at WDSU as a news anchor and live uptown on St. Charles.  Look at me now. I go to school in middle of no where Missouri, and I interned in New York for the summer. Talk about change…I’m happy though. Yes, I miss my friends, and my home, and all that was before things changed, but everything happens for a reason and if it weren’t for Katrina, I doubt I would have made the moves that got me to this point. It’s been about 4 years exactly since Katrina, and I remember it like yesterday. Oh well. I can’t continue to dwell on the past, and on what will never be. No one will ever understand. I spoke to my advisor today about my grades, major, minor etc and to my surprise I’m actually on track. It’s good to hear that you’re doing something right. No offense to super seniors, but I don’t want to join the club. As much as I despise this little city of Columbia, I think this school year will be promising. I can only go up from here. It sounds so cliche, but when you have the opportunity to live your dreams, it’s hard to think that things can’t get better. I know my destination, I’m just not there. I love my family. I love my friends. In my eyes, my life is just perfect. Times like this I wish my daddy was still here to see that I’m on the right path. He would be so proud. Tis all for now.
